Chris’ Story

Chris Michael Kirk grew up in suburban Wichita, Kansas. His typical, American family of five went to church every Sunday, ate dinner together every night, and took the Sunday paper. As the oldest of three boys, Chris learned how to be a leader from a young age.

In 1994, Chris underwent a dramatic life change. It was during a summer church trip to Colorado. The week was winding down, when Chris found himself in a conversation with a younger student who was in distress. A spark emerged from that brief conversation. This spark would turn into a calling to help people thrive, finding success each day. Since then Chris has helped thousands of people discover increased flourishing in their lives. He’s worked as a pastor, counselor, trainer, and non-profit coordinator. He has spoken to thousands at churches, schools and community events, challenging them to find the abundant life which is available for the taking

Now, Chris lives in Wichita, Kansas with his beautiful wife, Natasha, and his amazing children, Ester and Justice. They blog the family journey here. He spends his free time enjoying the family, writing music, heading out on hikes and geocaches, visiting art galleries, and connecting with friends. Chris truly believes that the good life is possible and tries to live that reality each day.

Chris is presently pursuing a PHD in Community Psychology at Wichita State University. He is passionate about discovering ways to help people of all backgrounds flourish.
