Chris Michael Kirk, B.A. is a Graduate Student in the Community Psychology Ph.D. program of the Department of Psychology at Wichita State University. Chris Michael Kirk received his B.A. in Psychology from MidAmerica Nazarene University (1998), and completed one year of graduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University (1999). Mr. Kirk has over ten years of experience working with adolescents in a variety of environments. He has served communities as a minister, counselor, and non-profit worker. Mr. Kirk's research interests include: adolescent health and risk behaviors in domestic and global settings, sense of community, religiosity and spirituality, and global poverty reduction. He is currently conducting research on attitudes, behaviors, and sense of community found in adolescents and adults of the federally funded TRIO programs at Wichita State University. Additionally, Mr. Kirk is analyzing data from the Kansas Kids @ GEAR-UP program.
